AHU's are more specialised and each unit
should be assessed individually. Some AHU's are modular
and require frames that facilitate the on-site in situ
assembly. AHU's come in a myriad of shapes and sizes, weight
and construction, the supply and extract spigots can be
vertical or horizontal.
Roof-Pro corner/side supports RP-C/S units 18x1T are
employed when the AHU is sufficiently wide and stable to
have only corner and intermediate supports. The AHU perimeter
frame must be of sufficient strength to carry the AHU between
support locations. The Corner / Side units are to be secured
to the AHU and the stability is reliant upon these fixings.
Narrow small AHU's can be supported on custom heavy duty
(HD) PF supports or a series of connected frames. The connecting
sliding beams are (HD) and permit frequent support of the
AHU perimeter without providing a leg assembly.
The frame is free standing and provides a stable platform to position
the AHU or sections without first securing the frame to the AHU.
Heavy AHU's require additional bases and steel to ensure
even distribution of the load into the waterproofing assembly
and deck.
The POD 18x4T quarters any load and ensures that load is evenly distributed.
