Pipes can be supported from below using rollers,
chairs, U-bolts etc or from above the pipe using a hanging
arrangement, Roof-Pro frame selection is influenced by
which method of bracket is employed.
The services consultant should decide which method suites the installation
and incorporate any requirements to deal with expansion issues. If
thruster blocks are required they must be incorporated. The length
of drop rod in conjunction with a pivoting connector can isolate
movement from the supporting frame. |

 |
In order to advise on
product selection Roof-Pro will require:
Pipe information such as:
nominal bore, wall thickness, target height above roof level, insulation
thickness and type, intended centres of support.
Standard requirements of the
roofing assembly construction:
deck type, insulation thickness, type of insulation, the waterproofing
membrane type and both insulation and waterproofing manufactures
details.
Small pipes up to 50mm
We generally support small light weight pipes on our TAB-P range
of products. The threaded uprights permit finite adjustment to
accommodate the roof gradient and any fall required on the pipe.
Ideal for refrigeration lines, AHU F&R pipes below 50mm bore,
gas pipes.

Medium & Large pipes
50mm to 150mm+
Part of product selection criteria is the total weight being supported.
With medium sized pipes the quantity of pipes is obviously a factor
in frame selection. The required width of a support and quantity
of pipes reviews the steel support section, centres of supports with
Roof-Pro base size and quantity evaluated.
Support Hanging
Medium pipes can be hung from a simple frame as the RP-PH 18x2
When hanging pipes maintain sufficient building clearance to
permit future access to the flat roof waterproofing membrane.

Support Below
Medium to large pipes are more typically supported from below
as the RP-P 18x2T whilst still maintaining sufficient building
clearance to permit future access to the flat roof waterproofing
membrane. |
 |
 |
 |
 |
| Large pipes and high numbers of pipes
are heavy and may require additional bases to distribute
the load evenly over a grater area as RP-3P 18x4T
shown in the picture below. The bases can be aligned
with structural support below deck if required. |

Refurbishment
Roof-Pro offer on-site surveying for refurbishment projects
where existing supports are being removed to upgrade to Roof-Pro
systems. See project profiles for examples. |
