Roof finish: Callander Felt 1:40 mono pitch (hipped) over concrete

A major new build and refit scheme having several roof areas supporting heavy services equipment, notably AHU’s ranging in weight from around 3.5 tonnes up to 6 tonnes, and including associated pipe, cable and duct supports. The initial design called for a steel grillage for both landlord and tenant plant (designed for 7.5K/n load). The building services consultants & main contractor expressed concerns about the high number of steel penetrations coming through the roof, which led to a major design rethink. Roof Pro technical /survey staff assisted the architect, building services consultant and structural engineers over many months to develop a number of solutions. The main contractor selected Roof Pro support systems because “it gave us greater flexibility and a more cost effective solution compared to our original structural steel designs”.

Roof-Pro Products: RP Pods 18 x 16TP / 18x6TP / 18x4TP - all having pivoting bases / Tab C 1000 cable tray supports / RP D duct supports (various widths to 2400mm).
